Buffalo KidNip

Well Aaron finished tanning a buffalo hide that he got from my Dad. It turned out very nice. We find that whenever he puts it on the floor the kids go crazy. They start running in circles, singing how much they love buffaloes and rolling around in the soft fur. We joke that a buffalo hide does to our kids what catnip does to cats. Even Teancum goes through the transformation when he gets on the buffalo. A couple weeks ago he was practicing his walking and realized how nice and fun it was to fall on the hide. He tried running around on it but was so excited that he would take off before he was fully upright and balanced. He was falling all over the place and just loving it.

Teancum has been walking since about the beginning of the month. He is just getting so big. It seems so strange that he is already going to be a year on Wednesday. Although it is exciting to see him grow and reach different mile stones, I sometimes wish I could keep him little as long as possible. Babies are so wonderful!
