Boys!

Teancum found it quite fun to lift up on the seat of the chair and throw it over backwards. After being egged on by being told 'no', many times, he became more determined to do it. Upon toppling his prey one final time, he fell upon the helpless chair and ripped out it's still-beating spindle, leaving a jagged remnant dangling in bloodless trauma. The affects of the carnage can be clearly seen in the look on his face.

He quickly returned to the carcass to scavenge when Mom finally interrupted the frenzy for good, that day.

From a previous night;
Quian and Teancum often play/fight after the lights go out. Teancum had already taken his wooden sword, 'The Word of God', to bed with him and smote it to ruin upon Quian's shield, 'Faith', and the crib. After that he had to use his plastic sword to finish the battle in the dark. The going to bed part was largely ignored by the two, and they fought on in earnest. Nearly two hours into the melee, after repeated attempts to quash the rebellion, I heard Quian cry out in pain, which quickly turned to hysterical giggles. In his excitement he tried to explain how some combination of Teancum and the shield 'Faith' had knocked his tooth out. The crib had a bit of blood on it as well. If you look at his upper left incisor, there is a red wedge where his 'not so loose' tooth jettisoned with a chunk of gingiva. He was pumped for days.
